Katie MacDonald

About Katie

I grew up on the Moray coast, watching the light shift over the firth from season to season. That landscape stayed with me — and it's still what I paint today.

I work from a studio in Nairn, building every frame and stretching every canvas by hand. Whether it's a stretch of beach from childhood or a garden someone treasures, I paint places that mean something to the people who live with them.

My work has been shown across the Highlands, and I take on a small number of commissions each year.
